Sew Me like One of Your French Girls by TheCinderLover
  1. Patch is not technically "alive." Or, well, she's not alive in the traditional sense. She's not possessed by a spirit, nor does she have a soul of her own. Technically the proper term for her would be "fabric golem" as she was an inanimate doll given sentience by magic. This also means that she technically cannot die, as all it takes to keep her healthy is to repair her. This is why her replaced limbs still function properly.
  2. Patch has about the same level of intelligence and problem-solving ability of a 10-year-old. She's very intelligent for a golem and goes on her own adventures independent of her creator. She's capable of decision-making and problem-solving without influence from her creator, where most golems require direct orders and lack free will.
  3. Patch is a fan of anything shiny. Whether it's a thumbtack, stray bead, lost earring, or small gemstone, Patch will hoard it. She keeps a small treasure box in Ash's closet that was a previously-unused make-up holder. Patch gets very offended if anybody except Ash tries to touch her collection.
  4. Patch prefers that everyone, excluding her creator, believes her to be a normal plush toy. Ash has no idea why, but Patch always goes limp and fakes being a normal toy whenever someone else is in the room. Patch doesn't appear to be afraid of other people, but consistently behaves this way around literally everyone else, including the other people who live in Ash's house.
  5. Patch is aggressively adventurous. It's almost a problem at this point, as the little doll will literally just hop out the window for weeks and then come back with a hoard of tiny treasures. It worries Ash a lot because if Patch gets too ripped up without her creator around to fix her, there's no telling what could happen! Ash keeps trying to drive this point home, but Patch won't listen. This is how she lost two of her legs.
  6. Patch is a girl. A weird fact, you say? It's obvious the doll is a girl because I've been saying 'she' this whole time, you say? Well the dang doll identifies as a girl so I just want to make it clear she's not, like, nonbinary she/her pronouns preferred or something. She's a girl. Girl power!
  7. Patch looks up to Ash a lot. I compared Patch's intelligence to a 10-year-old before, and it's more accurate than you might then. Patch is pretty convinced she's Ash's daughter and wants to be just like her mom. She insisted Ash sew buttons to her ears to match her mom's earrings, and grows her hair out nice and long when at home to look more like Mama Ash. She's also very dedicated to helping Ash when she's not doing well, as she's one of the few people in her mom's life who will actually do that.
  8. Patch is physically incapable of changing expression. Her eyes, nose, eyebrows, and mouth are always in the exact same positions. She expresses emotion with gestures and her ears. Body language is key to expressing what she's trying to communicate, because she also cannot speak verbally and cannot grasp onto tools with which to draw or write. Her little toes just cannot spread apart to hold onto things. It's a bit of a mystery to Ash how Patch collects items and carries them home without the ability to carry them in her mouth or paws, but Patch does it... somehow..!

I already tagged in the last one so ye!!!
